Atelier VantageNeuchâtel

About

Our Story

A workshop in Neuchâtel, a preference for subtraction, and a stubborn belief that a movement should be worth looking at.

Atelier Vantage began with a disassembled chronograph on a bench and an argument about how much of it needed to exist. The answer, arrived at slowly, was: less than anyone had assumed, and finished far better than anyone had bothered.

Every calibre we make is designed in-house, assembled by a single watchmaker from start to finish, and timed in five positions before it is allowed to leave the building.

What we will not do

We do not hide a movement behind a closed caseback because the finishing would not survive inspection. We do not print a water-resistance figure we have not tested past. And we do not release a reference until the person who assembled it is willing to put their mark inside it.
